Savannah- Mary Elizabeth Forsyth Shelley, 83, died Thursday, February 21, 2008.
Loving and beloved wife of the late Francis Michael Shelley, mother of Patricia Shelley and husband Kevin Fox, Michael Arthur and wife Gail Shelley, and Dr. Robert John and wife Barbara Shelley, she is also survived by grandchildren, Michael Christian Fox, Alexander Davitt Fox, Christopher Churchill Fox, Cassie Shelley Sheridan, Christina Elizabeth Shelley, Julianne Shelley Temple, Emily Alison Shelley Robert John Shelley, Jr.; and great grandchildren, Ellie Yi-Hsien Carlson Fox, Lily Elizabeth Fox, and three to arrive this spring.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Christ Church Episcopal at St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church at the corner of Waters and Washington Avenues in Savannah.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations may be made to: Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416; American Cancer Society, 6600 Abercorn St., Suite 206, Savannah, GA 31405; or to the charity of your choice.
To the Fox and Shelley families, We are so sorry for the loss of your family Matriarch. We know you will find comfort in each other, in your deep and cherished memories, and in the future, as you look forward to the joyful addition of three new children to your family.
